BALGADDY CHILD & FAMILY CENTRE
Balgaddy Child and Family Centre opened in **Apply on the website**
and is managed by South Dublin County Partnership. The centre is
located on?M?ile An R? Road, Lucan, and is attached to the
Startbright Early Learning Centre.?We provide?services and support
to children and families living in the area of Balgaddy, South County
Dublin. The centre aims to support parents, children and young people
as they create a warm, supportive and secure space for children to
grow, develop and flourish in.
The Balgaddy Child & family Centre falls under the Partnership?s
Children and Families thematic. The Children and Families thematic
aims to support positive parenting and provide nurturing and
stimulating environments for children by offering a range of
parenting, child development, family learning and family support to
individuals and their families.
WE ARE RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POST;
CHILD AND FAMILY PROJECT WORKER (BALGADDY) ? FULL-TIME POST
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
* delivering a range of high quality after school activities for
6?**Apply on the website**-year-old children.
* complimenting existing programmes such as UBU activities and the
Balgaddy homework club
* organising and running mid-term and summer camps with the Balgaddy
team
* working with Balgaddy staff, manager and family support to ensure
that the centre has a full and vibrant schedule of activities
* coordinating and delivering our new **Apply on the website**
training programme to other staff/services working with 6?**Apply on
the website**-year-old children in the South Dublin County area
* assisting the Balgaddy manager with SICAP paperwork requirements
* conducting evaluation and preparing reports as required
* promoting Balgaddy events on social media and promoting activities
in the community
* participating in team and staff meetings
* other duties as required from children & families manager and CEO
of SDCP
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS;
* A qualification in community and youth work, social sciences, early
childhood education or a related field is essential.
* Relevant experience in a similar setting.
* An in-depth understanding of obstacles facing children & families
within an area of social exclusion
* Capacity to work to deadlines
* Strong team player
* Excellent inter-personal and oral communication skills
* Understanding of financial systems/procedures
* Excellent report writing skills
* Strong IT, digital media skills
OTHER
* Car Owner with full clean driver?s license
* Garda Vetting will apply to this role
CONTRACT: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract (with probation of 6 months)
SALARY: Salary will be based on SDCP?s project worker scale and will

experience
